The members of the Youth Network for Equality are experienced activists in the Network’s strategic areas of action. They are active and motivated young people, ready to be part of the processes of social change.
The members of the Network will be involved in proposing, implementing and evaluating project activities in Ekvalis, as well as representation of youth positions when Ekvalis advocates for certain issues of its mission at the institutional level. In addition, members of the Network have their own leadership positions in the local communities where they live.

Ana Pavlova is an activist from Strumica who advocates for equal rights for all. Social injustices and discrimination against marginalized groups are her main motivation that has guided her through her many years of experience with activism.
Ana has participated in numerous workshops, projects, protests, events and youth fellowships from which she has gained various experiences and skills. In her spare time, she loves to study and research psychology and listen to techno music. As a member of the Youth Network for Equality, she contributes to it with her skills in logistics, event organization and photography.

Daniel Prodanov is a human rights activist from Strumica. His motivation for activism goes back years and includes advocating for the rights and needs, equality and visibility of the LGBTI+ community, with an emphasis on the transgender community.
Daniel has been involved in the first initiative of the transgender community in Macedonia – TransFormA since its foundation. He also participated in the organization of the first March for visibility of trans people in 2019 in our country, spoke at several live books/libraries and twice volunteered at Skopje Pride. Later in activism, he began to educate and inform himself about the rights and needs of sex workers, comprehensive HIV prevention and intersectionality.

Denis Rajhl is an activist from Skopje who fights for the rights of women and LGBTI youth. Having researched the problems of these marginalized communities, he felt the need to fight as an ally for their better acceptance in society. Denis has participated and volunteered in several marches to prevent sexual harassment and attacks on women. He has also defended the rights of LGBTI youth in numerous informal and online discussions.
In addition to activism, in his spare time he takes every opportunity to travel around the world and thus meet young people from other backgrounds and identities.
During his studies, Denis has attended lectures and workshops on the topic of inequality, including economic, social, gender and national inequality. Together with the Youth Network for Equality, Denis contributes his skills in photography, running workshops and creating testimonials.

Doni Goshevska is a feminist and LGBTI+ activist from Bogdanci. The motivation for working with these topics comes from growing up in an oppressive patriarchal society and the desire to change it, in order to achieve gender equality and acceptance of the LGBTI+ community.
Doni has participated in several workshops and trainings on these topics, as well as organizing his own workshops and informal education of his peers. In his free time, he researches various topics and social issues and enjoys walks in the sun. They contribute their interviewing, public speaking and creative writing skills to the Youth Network for Equality.

Elena Chikos is an advocate for gender equality and the rights of the LGBTI+ community. Her strong motivation comes from working directly with women from various marginalized backgrounds and as an ally of the LGBTI+ community.
Elena participated in the creation of the “Manual for social work with LGBTI people in the Republic of Macedonia”, she was a volunteer at the First Pride Parade, and through daily contact with users of social rights and services and members of the collective in which she works, she actualizes the topics of gender equality and the rights of the LGBTI+ community.
Elena is a graduate social worker and supervised psychotherapist with additional education in the field of gender equality and many years of experience working in multi-ethnic environments. She spends her free time with her family and enjoying walks in nature.
As a member of the network, Elena supports the network through her skills in mentoring, running workshops and organizing focus groups.

Filip Icovski is a young researcher and advocate for gender equality and gender relations from Skopje. His motivation to work on these topics comes from the social ignorance of inequality and non-acceptance of diversity and marginalized groups as equal members of society. He deals with topics related to gender identity, exploring social gender restrictions. He enjoys art in all its forms, as an amateur painter he uses art as a tool in his activism.
Filip is a linguist, graduate translator in French and English. He is currently working on his master’s thesis at the Institute for Gender Studies at UKIM. With his eloquent, sharp causalistic and analytical approach to writing, he gives a particular approach to the problems and needs related to gender and gender identity.
As a member of the Youth Network for Equality, Filip supports the network through his educational skills as well as creative expression through the visual arts and the written word.

Ivan Alinchanec is a Queer LGBTI+ activist from Prilep. His activism stems from a desire for a better tomorrow and defiance of the binary heteronormativity. Ivan has been an active citizen for several years, engaged in several spheres of activism and volunteering – with a focus on marginalized communities. He also enjoys reading and researching current world and political topics.
Ivan is currently a psychology student with ideas for further research in social psychology. As a member of the Youth Network for Equality, Ivan supports the Network through his organizational, communication and research skills.

Ivona Trajkovska is a fighter for human rights. Her motivation to work on human rights issues comes from her daily exposure to them and through working with other young people.
Ivona was part of several programs where topics related to working with marginalized communities were discussed and she was always an advocate for them. She is a fan of books, loves to read and discuss them.
As a member of the Youth Network for Equality, Ivona supports the Network through her skills in telephone communication, creative writing, and advocacy in front of institutions.

Jovana Kostentsova is an advocate for gender equality and the rights of LGBTI+ youth from Skopje. Her motivation is rooted in the awakening of public awareness in the above-mentioned connotation.
She has repeatedly participated and organized projects and focus groups on the topic of gender equality and sexual comprehensive education. In addition to this, she is a big fan of books and movies, inspired by her previous participation in acting games.

Kristina Lazarova is a feminist and advocate for the first LGBTI+ youth in Gevgelija. Her motivation comes from all the visible discrimination that comes from insufficient education on the subject.
Christina follows research related to young people who are part of the LGBTI+ community and the discrimination they face. In her free time, she reads books, writes essays on various topics and enjoys spending time with her loved ones.

Martin Dimitrovski is a human rights advocate. The inspiration for the work on the subject comes from the constant prejudices he encounters. He has repeatedly advocated against prejudices as well as working and understanding the problems of marginalized communities.

Mima Nikolova is a feminist and advocate for the rights of LGBTI+ youth from Gevgelija. Her motivation to work with these topics comes from the daily discrimination that is present in society as well as the insufficient familiarity of people with these topics. She advocates for the rights of LGBTI+ people and active participation in the Pride Parade.
Mima is a big animal lover with whom she enjoys spending her free time, as well as a music lover and likes trying to play different instruments. Nergin Sejfovski from Skopje is a human rights activist with 12 years of work and volunteer experience in domestic and international organizations. Nergin has experience working with young people as an educator.
Nergin is the author and co-author of public policy documents on the topics of gender equality and abortion law. He has received numerous awards and recognitions of an international nature. He graduated in public administration and political sciences.
Nergin, as a member of the Youth Network for Equality, through his skills will support the network in the organization of focus groups, meetings, events, email communication, logistics and telephone communication.

Nevrij Ademi is an investigative journalist and activist for the rights of ethnic minorities. His excitement about these topics comes from his work as a journalist and his contacts with people from marginalized groups.
Nevrij likes to work and volunteer in educational programs for marginalized groups. As a journalist in the media where he works, he often writes investigative articles on topics related to human rights. He is also a writer, the author of 5 collections of poetry such as “The Diary of My Pain” and “On the Shore of the Sea of Love”. Nevrij is a senior at the state university in Tetovo, Department of Journalism Studies. He works in several media in Macedonia and Albania.

Simona Filiposka is a human rights advocate from Gostivar. She is motivated to work on the topic of equality because she believes that it is important to achieve equality in the world and that it can be done through activism.
He has participated in projects and activities that dealt with topics related to working with marginalized groups and strives for even greater active involvement in them. In his spare time, she likes to write poetry, read books and go for nature walks.

Sofija Matovska is an active feminist from Skopje. The revolt against the injustices she faced during her life serves as motivation for her work in her community. From organizing guerilla actions and humanitarian events for people from various marginalized groups, to public advocacy of human rights at numerous protests, Sofia has rich experience with international associations for integrating inter-ethnic coexistence in schools and state institutions.
In addition to her passion for volunteering, she also directs and plays guitar in her spare time. Sofija is a trained peer educator for CSE (Comprehensive Sexual Education) and its implementation in formal education.
As a member of the Youth Network for Equality, Sofia supports the Network through her skills in public speaking, organizing field surveys and running workshops.
