The National Youth Council of Macedonia (NYCM) is a union of associations where associations and foundations from the Republic of Macedonia are registered on a voluntary basis. NYCM was established on 29 June 2013 by 55 organizations. The NYCM is a representative body for youth organizations in Macedonia. NYCM unites 51 organizations, 17 youth organizations, 20 organizations for youth, 1 union, 7 youth wings of other organizations and 6 associate members, in order to promote and advocate for the rights of the Macedonian youth.
Media Literacy Network is created in order to facilitate the communication and consultation between different entities in the country working on raising the level of media literacy of all citizens. It should contribute to more frequent cooperation between the relevant factors and for better and more sustainable results from the projects.The Network was created back in 2017 by 35 founding members. Union of Youth Work is network of youth workers, youth organisations and organisations that work young people, which mission is to regulate and standardize youth work, support youth workers and raise the public awareness on the importance of youth work. The vision of the Union is that youth work is recognized as professions and there is a system that supports the youth and the youth workers.
The National Network against Homophobia and Transphobia, founded in 2014, is an informal network of citizens’ associations and informal groups that work together to promote the guarantee and enjoyment of the human rights of LGBTI+ people in the Republic of North Macedonia. Our vision is for every person from the LGBTI+ community in our country to live a quality and safe life and to fully enjoy and exercise their rights. As part of its mission, NNHT works to create and maintain a safe, inclusive and equitable environment for the LGBTI+ community through joint action and coordination, active involvement of community members, their empowerment and advocacy.
ERA – LGBTI Equal Rights Association for Western Balkans and Turkey is a Regional Association of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex and queer organizations from Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey. ERA’s mission is to inspire positive change in the society, promote and advocate for human rights of people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, and sex characteristics, by facilitating cooperation and providing resources and capacity development for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex persons (LGBTI) movement across the Balkans and Turkey.
The mission of the Platform for Gender Equality is to provide voicing, leadership and unity for common actions when it comes to achieving gender equality in the society based on the principles of solidarity, equality, participation, transparency, volunteerism, responsibility and accountability.
Ekvalis is part of a working group for youth issues and policies at the Ministry of Education where we actively lobby and advocate for reforms in education that are in line with our mission and strategic approaches – through content, methodological and policy measures that will positively benefit students.
