Mission and Vision

The name EKVALIS originates from the Latin word “Aequalis“ meaning “equality“. We strive to offer equal access to education and education that promotes equality.

The mission of Association for Educational Development Ekvalis- Skopje is to involve the citizens in the processes of social change through the cycle of education, critical approach, analysis and taking action. Association for Educational Development Ekvalis- Skopje will initiate interpersonal cooperation between citizens in spite of any barriers related to ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, social background or condition of ability.

The vision of Association for Educational Development EKVALIS is to build a community where citizens will be educated, they will question and change the social processes for the personal and collective well-being.

Ema Ananievska is one of the founders of the Аssociation for educational development Ekvalis- Skopje. In the association, Ema will work on creating specialized programs for citizens with marginalized background (persons with disabilities, socially endangered citizens, asylum demanders, sexual minorities).

Ana Marija Milojevikj

Ana Marija Milojevikj is one of the founders of the Association for Educational Development EKVALIS - Skopje. In the organization Ana Marija will work on networking of the youth from different ages, ethnic backgrounds, social backgrounds and regions in the country, as well as encouraging discussions on important social questions.

Srgjan Vidoeski is one of the founders of the Association for Educational Development EKVALIS - Skopje. In the organization, Srgjan will work on creating educational platforms and spaces for equal access to people from different backgrounds, will contribute for sustainable development in the economic, political and social sphere and will participate in processes for adopting policies that correspond to the mission of the association.

Angel Dimitrievski

Vice President
Angel Dimitrievski is vice-president and founder of the Association for Educational Development Ekvalis- Skopje. Angel will be working on developing programs for media literacy for high school and university students, training and equipping teachers and youth workers on how to incorporate media literacy topics into their curriculum and creating media literacy programming for Centers and organisations for marginalised communities.

Sanja Mihajlovska

Sanja Mihajlovska is the president of the Association for Educational Development EKVALIS - Skopje. In the organization Sanja will work in the field of promotion of gender equality in various spheres of the society, promotion of human rights of citizens, as well as promotion and protection of women's rights and freedoms.

The strategic goals of Association for Educational Development EKVALIS- Skopje are:


-Networking of citizens in platforms for social development

-Creating educational platform and spaces with equal access for citizens of diverse background

-Participating in platforms and networks at local, regional and international level

-Participating in processes on policymaking that support the mission of the organisation

-Creating of conditions for sustainable development from economic, political and social perspective

-Empowerment of professional, student and peer mobility

-Promotion of gender equality in diverse aspects of the community

-Usage of trending program tools for developing media literacy among citizens

-Education of pedagogic workers in the formal educational system and civil society organisations through nonformal education methods

-Creation of specialised programs for marginalised communities (people with disabilities, asylum seekers, sexual minorities, socially vulnerable communities)
